\n\tTimoth\u00e9e Chalamet hasn\u2019t even won an Oscar yet, but he\u2019s still one step closer to an eventual EGOT, with his first-ever Grammy nomination. The soundtrack album for last year\u2019s biopic <\/a>A Complete Unknown<\/a>, featuring Chalamet singing and playing Bob Dylan<\/a> classics from \u201cMasters of War\u201d to \u201cBlowin\u2019 in the Wind,\u201d scored a nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. Although it\u2019s credited solely to Chalamet, the album also includes performances from other members of the film\u2019s cast \u2014 Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Ed Norton as Pete Seeger, and Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash.<\/p>\n

\n\tChalamet (and friends) are up against some intense competition. Other nominees in the category include the much-lauded Sinners soundtrack (featuring Buddy Guy<\/a>, Rhiannon Giddons, Rod Wave, Brittany Howard, and more), the hit-filled KPop Demon Hunters album, the Wicked<\/a> cast album (featuring Ariana Grande<\/a> and Cynthia Erivo<\/a>), and F1 The Album (with artists from Ed Sheeran<\/a> to Tate McRae<\/a>).\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tNo one could accuse Chalamet of not working hard for the nomination \u2014\u00a0he spent five years taking guitar, voice, and even harmonica lessons as he prepped for the film.\u00a0 He even played and sang live on the movie\u2019s set. \u201cYou can\u2019t re-create it in the studio,\u201d he told<\/a> Rolling Stone for our cover story on the film. \u201cIf I was singing to a prerecorded guitar, then all of a sudden I could hear the lack of an arm movement in my voice.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
