Britney Spears returned to Instagram on Saturday, less than a week after the singer deactivated her account following a series of concerning posts on the social media site.<\/p>\n
Earlier this week, Spears\u2019 12-year-old account, published under the handle @britneyspears, directed visitors to an error page, noting, \u201cThe link may be broken, or the profile may have been removed.\u201d Her Twitter account remained online, but didn\u2019t comment on the deactivation.<\/p>\n
More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n Fans had previously voiced concern about recent posts on Spears\u2019 Instagram account, including one from Oct. 7 that showed bruises on Spears\u2019 arms and bandages on her hands and wrists. The singer said the injuries were from a fall \u201cdown the stairs at my friend\u2019s house.\u201d A few weeks later, she said she believes she had \u201cbrain damage happened to me\u201d while under a 13-year conservatorship.<\/p>\n However, on Saturday, Spears\u2019 Instagram was reactivated, with the singer posting a photo of a video of herself in lingerie and boots accompanied by a caption that didn\u2019t acknowledge the account\u2019s deactivation but instead offered some life advice.<\/p>\n \u201cSo much has happened this year, it\u2019s crazy \u2026 I try to live within my means and the book, \u2018Draw the Circle\u2019 is an incredible perspective. Get your ballerina \ud83e\ude70, circle, and own your boundaries,\u201d Spears wrote. \u201cIt\u2019s incredibly strict and somewhat of a form of prayer but with so many endless possibilities in life, it\u2019s important to do you and keep it simple. I know there is a confusing side too. The devil is in the details but we can get to that later.\u201d<\/p>\n Spears\u2019 previous posts on Instagram were also restored in addition to her new post Saturday.<\/p>\n The Instagram deactivation came after the pop singer posted a\u00a0series of responses<\/a>\u00a0to her ex-husband\u00a0Kevin Federline\u2018s\u00a0recent memoir<\/a>,\u00a0You Thought You Knew. The tell-all book, released in October, recounts the couple\u2019s tumultuous relationship, including their marriage in 2004 and their divorce in 2007. Along with an alarming claim that Spears would watch their children sleep with a knife in her hand , Federline wrote: \u201cSomething bad is going to happen if things don\u2019t change.\u201d He\u00a0also claimed<\/a>\u00a0she drank while pregnant and did cocaine while breastfeeding.<\/p>\n Spears spoke out against his allegations on X, accusing Federline of \u201cconstant gaslighting\u201d that has become \u201cextremely hurtful and exhausting.\u201d She wrote of Federline\u2019s allegations in his memoir, writing, \u201cTrust me, those white lies in that book, they are going straight to the bank and I am the only one who genuinely gets hurt here.\u201d<\/p>\n Spears has not posted on X since Oct. 16, when she issued a second tweet<\/a> regarding Federline\u2019s book.<\/p>\n Best of Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n Sign up for RollingStone’s Newsletter<\/a>.
