The Truth Social post<\/a> erroneously claims the former president has collected $40 million in taxpayer-funded \u201croyalties\u201d since 2010, when the Affordable Care Act was signed into law.<\/p>\n The post does not link to an article, but the claim originated on a website<\/a> for a publication called the \u201cDunning-Kruger Times,\u201d a subsidiary of the America\u2019s Last Line of Defense network, which describes itself as a \u201cnetwork of parody, satire, and tomfoolery.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cEverything on this website is fiction,\u201d the website notes in its \u201cAbout Us\u201d<\/a> section, later mocking readers, \u201cif you believe that it is real, you should have your head examined.\u201d<\/p>\n It is unclear why the president shared the post, which originated much earlier this year, and captioned it simply with \u201cWOW!\u201d<\/p>\n The White House did not immediately return a request for comment from Forbes.<\/p>\n Key Background<\/p>\n The \u201cObamacare royalties\u201d claim circulated earlier this year, as Elon Musk\u2019s Department of Government Efficiency dominated headlines while trying to enact cost-cutting measures across the federal government.
