Oscar Isaac<\/a> is willing to return to a galaxy far, far away, but he doesn\u2019t want to work for the Empire. Isaac said he\u2019d be \u201copen\u201d to returning to Star Wars in his November 10 \u201cMan of the Year\u201d interview with GQ<\/a>, but Disney needs to \u201cfigure it out and, you know, not succumb to fascism.\u201d The interview was conducted two days after Disney suspended Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/a> because of apparent threats from the FCC leading to the nation\u2019s largest television-station owners to preempt it. The late-night show returned to air<\/a> on September 22. \u201cRight now I\u2019m not so open to working with Disney,\u201d the actor said at the time. But ever?<\/p>\n

Isaac told Deadline<\/a> in 2020 that he would return as resistance fighter pilot Poe Dameron only \u201cif I need another house or something.\u201d That was a \u201cslightly dickish thing\u201d to say, he admitted to GQ. For what it\u2019s worth, he could be up for a cameo in 2027\u2019s Rey-focused New Jedi Order, set 15 years<\/a> after Isaac\u2019s last appearance in 2019\u2019s The Rise of Skywalker. The Resistance actually beat the First Order in that movie. Oscar Isaac has chosen his side in the battle of good versus evil. Disney execs might need a rewatch.<\/a><\/p>\n
