Cork’s burgers, pizzas and burritos are among the most-ordered in the world, with three takeaway meals<\/a> making it comfortably onto Deliveroo’s Top 100 list for 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s one up on 2024, with the delivery-only Pitt Bros BBQ in Cork city<\/a> making it to number 23 on the list, with their popular Pitt Bros Bacon and Cheese burger proving a leading favourite. Sano Pizza<\/a> came it at 61 with their Diavola (Posh Pepperoni!), while student fave Boojum’s<\/a> secured 83rd place with the Yoojum.<\/p>\n

Both Pitt Bros BBQ and Sano only set up in Cork in 2023, meaning the two outlets have plenty to be proud of as they sail onto the global scoreboard. Both stores can also celebrate making it onto the Irish Top 10:<\/p>\n

    The global 100 lists sees restaurants in places like London, Brussels, Rome and the Dubai breaking the top 25, so it’s an impressive feat for these Cork city centre spots to make their mark. The very top spot in the world went to Papo’s Bagels in London, while Dublin just managed to sneak into the top 5 with the Dash Double Smash from Dash Burger.<\/p>\n

    Dublin is represented nine times in the Top 100 list, while Cork appears three times and Galway once. The expansion of Deliveroo’s services in recent years – with M&S and Tesco here in Cork both now offering Deliveroo-style speedy deliveries<\/a> – means that not everything on the list is a takeaway treat. In at number 14 is sourdough bread from a particular branch of Morrison’s supermarket in Manchester, while baby milk from a store in Singapore landed at 38.<\/p>\n

    And a very popular cucumber from Sainsbury’s in London has taken its place on the list of most-ordered items, usurping a cucumber from Waitrose last year<\/a>. But it’s not all food, with an electric fan from Wilko in London managing to creep onto the list at 80 – a sign perhaps of what proved to be an extremely hot summer<\/a> for both the UK and Ireland.<\/p>\n

    Helen Maher, Deliveroo\u2019s UK and Ireland Director, said: “The Deliveroo 100 is more than a list – it’s a definitive snapshot of global cravings and consumer habits. This year\u2019s list confirms what everyone in Ireland knows – that our food reigns supreme on the global stage. The Cork restaurants that are named among the most trending worldwide should be so proud and everyone at Deliveroo in Ireland is behind them as they fly the flag for Irish food globally.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Deliveroo also tracked orders during two major cultural moments this year, keeping an eye on all the orders made by customers immediately after Oasis left the Croke Park stage<\/a> in August. One hour after the band\u2019s encore, customers sent orders of spice bags, wraps, burgers and pita wraps in Dublin soaring.<\/p>\n
