Charlie Cox<\/a> and Zooey Deschanel<\/a> have a bone to pick with each other in the trailer for Amazon MGM Studios<\/a>\u2019 romantic comedy feature Merv<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Director Jessica Swale<\/a>\u2019s holiday film is set to begin streaming globally via Prime Video<\/a> on Dec. 10. Chris Redd,<\/a> Patricia Heaton<\/a> and David Hunt <\/a>round out the cast.<\/p>\n

Merv centers on Russ (Cox) and Anna (Deschanel), who realize that their breakup has taken its toll on their lovable pooch, Merv. This leads the pair to head to Florida over the holidays in hopes of lifting the dog\u2019s spirits.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe hates beaches,\u201d Deschanel says about the furry friend when she hears of the planned trip. This leads Cox to reply, \u201cNo, you hate beaches.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swale helmed the movie from a script by Dane Clark <\/a>and Linsey Stewart<\/a>. Matthew Baer,<\/a> Roma Downey<\/a>, Kerri Hundley<\/a> and Kai Raka <\/a>serve as producers.<\/p>\n
