{"id":176362,"date":"2025-11-12T07:56:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-12T07:56:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/176362\/"},"modified":"2025-11-12T07:56:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-12T07:56:08","slug":"earth-renewed-for-season-2-noah-hawley-signs-new-fx-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/176362\/","title":{"rendered":"Earth\u2019 Renewed for Season 2, Noah Hawley Signs New FX Deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/alien-earth\/\" id=\"auto-tag_alien-earth_1\" data-tag=\"alien-earth\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alien: Earth<\/a> \u2014\u00a0and the long-running creative relationship between series creator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/noah-hawley\/\" id=\"auto-tag_noah-hawley_1\" data-tag=\"noah-hawley\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Noah Hawley<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/fx\/\" id=\"auto-tag_fx_1\" data-tag=\"fx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FX<\/a> \u2014\u00a0will continue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHawley has signed a new overall deal with FX and Disney Entertainment Television, which includes a second season of Alien: Earth that will debut on FX\u2019s cable channel and Hulu. Production is set to begin next year in London. Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter the multi-year deal is valued in the nine figures and will see Hawley broaden his scope to all of Disney Entertainment TV, which also includes ABC and Hulu Originals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cIt has been our great privilege to work with Noah for more than a decade on some of FX\u2019s best and biggest shows, and we are thrilled to extend our partnership well into the future,\u201d FX chairman John Landgraf said in a statement.\u00a0\u201cNoah never stops surprising us with truly original stories \u2014 and his unique ability to bring them to vibrant life as a director and producer as well as writer makes him extraordinary. We can\u2019t wait to get to work on the next season of\u00a0Alien: Earth, as well as some equally exciting future projects in advanced development.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAlien: Earth is the third series Hawley has created for FX, along with Fargo and Legion. Fargo, an anthology inspired by the Coen brothers\u2019 movie, has run for five seasons since 2014 and won seven Emmys; Legion ran for three seasons.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI\u2019m thrilled that this expanded deal opens the door to new opportunities across all of Disney Entertainment Television,\u201d said Hawley. \u201cFX has always supported bold, character-driven storytelling. From the very beginning with\u00a0Fargo, they\u2019ve encouraged me to take creative risks and follow the story wherever it leads. I\u2019m grateful to continue exploring the world of\u00a0Alien: Earth\u00a0alongside our partners, cast, and crew as we begin the next chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAdded Eric Schrier, president Disney Television Studios and global original television strategy, \u201cI learned first-hand that Noah was a unique talent while we worked on\u00a0Fargo\u00a0at FX. He has gone on to make many of the best shows in television, and I couldn\u2019t be more excited that Noah will continue his FX partnership and broaden it across Disney Entertainment Television.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe renewal for Alien: Earth promises some resolution to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/alien-earth-finale-noah-hawley-season-2-interview-1236377913\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">cliffhanger ending<\/a> to the season, which is set two years before the events of the first Alien film. \u201cI had to plan and execute a story that that\u2019s going someplace,\u201d Hawley told THR about the final episode. \u201cAnd then, this whole thing is a proof-of-concept experiment to see if enough people on the planet want to watch an\u00a0Alien\u00a0TV show to justify the expense of a second and third season of an\u00a0Alien\u00a0TV show. So for me, I never hedged my bets. This is not a closed-ended season. This chapter is closed. \u2026 The balance of power has shifted. These children have no idea what\u2019s coming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tSeason one of Alien: Earth stars Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille and Moe Bar-El. Hawley executive produced the season with Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Clayton Krueger, Emilia Serrano, Bob DeLaurentis, Peter Calloway, Monica Macer, John Campisi and Simon Emanuel.
