\n Seand\u00fan 2-16 Muskerry 2-9\u00a0\n <\/p>\n

Seand\u00fan proved too strong for Muskerry in the SE Systems Senior Camogie Championship Divisional Section.<\/p>\n

The game was played on a 12-a-side basis due to lack of numbers in the Muskerry camp so both teams had to work hard on the wide expanses of Castle Road.<\/p>\n

Seand\u00fan, beaten by Carbery in their opener, were 1-3 to no score up inside five minutes. Cassandra Fitzgerald pointed straightaway, followed by\u00a0a goal from Maire Ni Fhrighil, and white flags for Caoimhe Power and Cassandra Fitzgerald.<\/p>\n

Muskerry scored through Laura O’Sullivan and Niamh Power but moving the ball fast, Seand\u00fan rattled off four points through Power, Grainne Kearney and Cassandra Fitzgerald (2).<\/p>\n

Muskerry began to find their feet and the second quarter belonged to them. Ava O’Connell narrowed the gap before she finished to the net.\u00a0<\/p>\n

O’Sullivan converted a free before another O’Connell effort had the gap down to two on 28 minutes before Caoimhe Power had the last say of the half: 1-8 to 1-5.<\/p>\n

Inside five minutes of the resumption, Seand\u00fan had outscored Muskerry three points to one before a Yasmin Abadan goal brought the gap back to two again.<\/p>\n

With the luxury of being able to introduce subs, Seand\u00fan called on reinforcements and tiredness began to show in an overworked Muskerry.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Points from Cassandra Fitzgerald and Maire N\u00ed Fhrighil saw Seand\u00fan take over and winning possession in vital areas, they had goal from Casey Coleman before the same player and Aine Ring (2) added further points.\u00a0<\/p>\n

O’Sullivan and Ava McSweeney had late Muskerry points but Seand\u00fan had too much in the end, after an unsual 12-a-side throwback game.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
