Nashawati following her acclaimed debut film \u201cBlind Sun\u201d that played at Toronto and Sitges.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tRising actors Millie Brady (\u201cI See Buildings Fall Like Lightning\u201d) and Elsa Lekakou (\u201cKillerwood\u201d) are leading the cast. It will mainly shoot in English with some Greek dialogue. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tPan Cin\u00e9ma, a sister company to Playtime which is also part of Vuelta Group, is producing with Giant Steps Production. Co-producers are Anti-Worlds in U.K., Blonde Audiovisual in Greece, and Abbout Productions in Lebanon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe prestige key crew includes cinematographer Jonathan Ricquebourg, whose credits include the Marion Cotillard movie \u201cThe Ice Tower\u201d and France\u2019s 2024 Oscar entry \u201cThe Taste of Things,\u201d and music composer Fatima Al Qadiri, who is behind the haunting soundtrack of Francois Ozon\u2019s \u201cThe Stranger\u201d and Mati Diop\u2019s Cannes prizewinning \u201cAtlantics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tSet in the 1970\u2019s Greece, \u201cSound of Silence\u201d is inspired by the story of Abbess Mariam Soulakioti, believed to be 20th century\u2019s most prolific female mass murderer. \u201cAlice, a young American traveller,<br \/>camps on a secluded beach with fellow hippies while Cristina, works in the only tavern nearby.<br \/>One night, the hippie camp gets raided by the local police. The girls escape the raid but Cristina<br \/>is wounded and they need to find refuge. The nearest shelter is a remote monastery.
