Four goals, three carved from turnovers, saw them overturn a seven-point interval deficit and keep their Corn Uí Mhuirí hopes alive.

Had the arc been in operation, at least three orange flags would have been raised, yet even that wouldn’t have altered the outcome. It would only have extended the margin in Roco’s favour.

But it was a scenario that did not look likely at the break. After a half of football with High School running the show, they were 1-9 to 1-2 ahead at the interval, having been patient in pass and shot selection. Roco didn’t have a sniff beyond their first goal.

And then, within eight minutes of the resumption, Rochestown had already surpassed their first half scoring tally with two goals, both of which came from turnovers at the other end of the field.

<img decoding="async" loading="lazy" src="https://www.europesays.com/ie/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/4856613_4_articleinline_St_20Francis_20College_20Rochestown_20v_20Clonmel_20High_20School_20in_20the.jpeg" alt="Paddy Spelman, Clonmel High School, clearing the ball against Jack O'Brien, St Francis College Rochestown. Suddenly, a side that had looked adrift were within one.

A stunner from Cummins that would have been a two-pointer, and another white flag from a Roco wing-back in Joe Mouret left them a point ahead, 3-4 to 1-9.
