Gaelscoil U\u00ed R\u00edord\u00e1in broke the deadlock when Br\u00edan \u00d3 C\u00e9illeachair kicked over a lovely point. This was followed with a fine left-footed strike from Joey \u00d3 hAol\u00e1in.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">A great battle was had by both sides and St Anthony\u2019s were unlucky not to get on the scoresheet following top work by Ardis Berisha, Bryan O\u2019Shaugnessy and Cillian Corkery. Tommy Olden with the first point while Feidhlim Holland added a second.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">They had a great chance to widen the gap when Dan Joe Casey struck superbly at the goal but was denied by a great save from Giacomo Melino.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Berrings enjoyed most of the possession with some lovely passages of play involving Daniel and Harry O\u2019Leary and Feidhlim and Fionnan Holland. Picture Dan Linehan<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">With five minutes remaining in the half, Blarney got on top and a superb strike from Fionn Lynch put them ahead. A short-lived lead as Berrings got the equaliser through the impressive Tommy Olden to tie it up at the break.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">A perfect start to the second half from Berrings saw them take the lead. A point apiece from Olden and Feidhlim Holland and a great goal from Harry O\u2019Farrell gave them a six-point lead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Credit to Blarney, who battled hard, driven on by Harry Fitzgerald, Josh Hassett and Jake O\u2019Leary. Both Hassett and Fitzgerald were denied goalscoring chances when both their efforts hit the woodwork.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Blarney kept at it and Fitzgerald richly deserved his first score of the game when he kicked over from close range. Picture Dan Linehan<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Blarney battled hard and closed the gap when Richmond kicked over a lovely point.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">McDonagh added another point to her tally, giving her school a 2-2 to 0-2 lead at the break.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Blarney opened the scoring in the second half when captain Daisy Mai Turbridy kicked over a lovely point.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">At the other end, Clondrohid had a great goalscoring chance only for Myah Downey watched as her effort rattled the crossbar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Blarney used their physical advantage in this period. A great run from Richmond, ended with the ball buried into the roof of the net to make it 2-2 to 1-3.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Blarney were on top and had a lot of possession with Turbridy and Richmond a real threat going forward.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Superb defending, in particular from Emma Bradley, kept them at bay for the remaining 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">With time almost up and Clondrohid two points ahead, despite not scoring in the second half, it looked like they\u2019d collect the cup.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Blarney piled on the pressure and were denied by a phenomenal save from Grace O\u2019Sullivan in the dying moments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">They kept going and Roche proved to be the hero four minutes into added time when her effort hit the back of the net, much to the joy of their huge support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The final whistle blew and while it was heartbreak for Clondrohid, there were scenes of celebrations from the Blarney players and coaching staff.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Well done to both sides on a really competitive and hard-fought battle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n            Scorers for Blarney: S Richmond 1-2, M Roche 1-0, D M Turbridy 0-1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n            Clondrohid: L McDonagh 2-1, E Kelleher 0-1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n            BLARNEY: E O\u2019Leary, R Gilmartin, C McCarthy, M Roche, DM Tubridy, RD Costello, S Richmond, K O\u2019Callaghan, M Morley, C O\u2019Brien, M Whelan, EM O\u2019Connor, C Murphy, E Duque.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n            CLONDROHID: G O\u2019Sullivan, C O\u2019Leary, M Quirke, E Bradley, L Coughlan, O McCarthy, L McDonagh, M Mulcahy, E Kelleher, E Kelleher, M Downey, E Sitjar, J Twomey, M Creedon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Referee: C \u00d3 Murch\u00fa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n            Gaelscoil na Duglaise 2-3 Watergrasshill 1-2\u00a0\n        <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Gaelscoil na Duglaise proved too strong for a gallant Watergrasshill side as they claimed the Sciath na Scol GF2 football title at SuperValu P\u00e1irc U\u00ed Chaoimh.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Gaelscoil na Duglaise opened the scoring after five minutes of play when Tessa N\u00ed Riain\u2019s effort hit the back of the net. At the other end, N\u00ed Riain got her second goal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Hill responded with a well-taken goal by O\u2019Connell to leave them behind by two points, 2-0 to 1-1, at the break.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Ava N\u00ed Chinnseamh\u00e1in opened the scoring in the second half after a great pass from Alanna Ni Chroim\u00edn.
