A new iPhone feature will allow users to input their American passport information and use their Apple Wallet as a digital form of identification at hundreds of airports around the country. <\/p>\n

The new Digital ID can be used instead of a Real-ID at airports for domestic travel (international travel will still require a physical passport). <\/p>\n

The company won\u2019t be able to see when and where users present their ID or what data was shared, Apple says, adding it must be presented using a face or touch ID to prevent anyone from using another\u2019s Digital ID. <\/p>\n

Where Can You Use Digital Id?<\/p>\n

There are 11 states and territories allowing the use of IDs stored in Apple Wallet for domestic travel at select airports, according to TSA<\/a>: Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Maryland, Montana, New Mexico, Ohio and Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n
