{"id":180364,"date":"2025-11-14T13:20:11","date_gmt":"2025-11-14T13:20:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/180364\/"},"modified":"2025-11-14T13:20:11","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T13:20:11","slug":"woman-to-be-sentenced-for-spate-of-letterkenny-burglaries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/180364\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman to be sentenced for spate of Letterkenny burglaries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A woman has pleaded guilty to a series of burglaries in Letterkenny.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Amanda Coleman admitted the burglaries when she appeared for arraignment at Letterkenny Circuit Court.<\/p>\n<p>Coleman faced four counts of burglary relating to incidents on the night of September 20, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>She was charged with the offences, contrary to Section 12(1)(a) and (3) of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Coleman was charged that she did enter a building as a trespasser with intent to commit an arrestable offence therein, to wit criminal damage and theft.<\/p>\n<p>The charges were in relation to incidents at Zen Hair &amp; Beauty, Port Road; Uviolki, Pearse Road; Hue Hair Salon, Pearse Road; and Dream Brows, Neil T Blaney Road.<\/p>\n<p>The 40-year-old, of Lismonaghan, Letterkenny, spoke only to plead guilty.<\/p>\n<p>Coleman was represented by barrister Mr Timothy Morrow BL, instructed by solicitor Mr Patsy Gallagher.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Morrow told the court that Coleman has other matters awaiting sentencing and asked that legal aid be extended to cover a psychiatric report.<\/p>\n<p>Judge John Aylmer consented to the request and remanded Coleman on continuing bail until the next sitting of Letterkenny Circuit Court in February, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Woman to be sentenced for spate of Letterkenny burglaries was last modified:  November 14th, 2025 by Staff Writer<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tTags:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A woman has pleaded guilty to a series of burglaries in Letterkenny.
