Pictures: La Lib\u00e9lula Films &amp; Productions <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cOur whole wedding was at Clos la Plana, a stunning villa in the middle of miles of vineyards,\u201d says Patrick.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">As Patrick owns Edit Hair Club (Instagram: @Edithairclub) on Cork\u2019s MacCurtain Street, it meant there was no shortage of hairstylists on the big day, says Andrea.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/4858275_2_articleinline_IMG_1157.jpeg.jpg\" alt=\"Patrick Murphy and Andrea La Chiusa with their wedding party. Pictures: La Lib\u00e9lula Films &amp; Productions <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cPatrick himself did the hair of his three sisters and maids of honour on the morning.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Patrick\u2019s friend and former colleague, Aaron Harrison, created the hairdos for Andrea\u2019s two bridesmaids. Leading Barcelona-based makeup artist Anna Dykalenko (Instagram @topmuabcn) was also on the team.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/4858278_2_articleinline_IMG_3814.jpeg.jpg\" alt=\"Patrick Murphy and Andrea La Chiusa. Pictures: La Lib\u00e9lula Films &amp; Productions <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The couple first met at FLYEfit Gym in Cork in April 2022. \u201cA very typical gay meet-cute,\u201d says Patrick.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">A holiday in Thailand on Christmas Day 2023 set the scene for their engagement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cWe had just landed and Patrick had planned to do it as soon as we got to our hotel because he was \u2018up to 90\u2019 over it,\u201d says Andrea.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cHe got me to stay at the bar while he went up to the room, scattered the rose petals (had to be done) and texted me to come to the room.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">But when Patrick popped the question and Andrea not only said yes, but also surprised Patrick by presenting him with an engagement ring. \u201cHe had the exact same plan! Pictures: La Lib\u00e9lula Films &amp; Productions <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Music was hugely important to the couple who were married in a 6pm ceremony.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cOf course, the song you walk down the aisle to is pretty much the pinnacle. We chose &#8216;A Million Dreams&#8217; from &#8216;The Greatest Showman&#8217; soundtrack. The ceremony ended with &#8216;Love You I Do&#8217; from the &#8216;Dreamgirls&#8217; soundtrack. The first dance was &#8216;Love is an Open Door&#8217; from the &#8216;Frozen&#8217; soundtrack. Very cutesy!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The wedding party consisted of the maids of honour, Noelle, Grace and Sofia, bridesmaids Deborah, Pamela and Lorraine, and groomsman, Alessandro.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Andrea\u2019s parents, Stella and Maurizio, and Patrick\u2019s dad, Pat, were also present.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cSadly, Patrick\u2019s mom, Eleanor, passed away seven years ago but was still very much in all our thoughts on the day,\u201d says Andrea. \u201cWe also had the best pageboys and flower girls in Fionn, Milo, Clodagh, Ellie, Alex and Bobby.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The event had \u201cwhite\u201d as its theme, and all the guests wore white. \u201cAs we knew the coloured fireworks would be going off at the end of the ceremony, we thought this would add a striking splash of colour,\u201d says Patrick.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Love was the mainstay of the celebration, says Patrick: \u201cEveryone was feeling it. Pictures: La Lib\u00e9lula Films &amp; Productions <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Cork drag artists \u201cwere on another level\u201d when it came to the after-dinner entertainment, says the groom. \u201cWe flew the amazing Candy Warhol, Leticia LaSynn and Mia Gold over,\u201d says Patrick. \u201cThey literally lifted the whole energy to 100.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The grooms wore tuxes by Saville Menswear, Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork. \u201cWe felt like VIPs,\u201d says Patrick.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/4858287_2_articleinline_IMG_3813.jpeg.jpg\" alt=\"Patrick Murphy and Andrea La Chiusa.
