He sparred with Judith Light and Naomi Watts as a vindictive soon-to-be ex-husband on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-reviews\/alls-fair-review-kim-kardashian-ryan-murphy-hulu-niecy-nash-1236417344\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">All\u2019s Fair<\/a>, slipped into the shoes of General Francis Shaw on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-reviews\/it-welcome-to-derry-review-hbo-1236404296\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">It: Welcome to Derry<\/a> and plays Dexter\u2019s adoptive father, Harry Morgan, on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-reviews\/dexter-resurrection-review-michael-c-hall-1236310507\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dexter: Resurrection<\/a>. The swirl of small screen work comes after he wrapped production on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/the-odyssey\/\" id=\"auto-tag_the-odyssey_1\" data-tag=\"the-odyssey\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Odyssey<\/a> in a re-teaming with Oppenheimer boss <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/christopher-nolan\/\" id=\"auto-tag_christopher-nolan_1\" data-tag=\"christopher-nolan\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Christopher Nolan<\/a> (who just gave his first <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.empireonline.com\/movies\/news\/christopher-nolan-the-odyssey-epic-to-end-all-epics-cn-exclusive\/\" target=\"_blank\">interview<\/a> about the highly anticipated film). In a brief <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/red-carpet-2\/\" id=\"auto-tag_red-carpet-2_1\" data-tag=\"red-carpet-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">red carpet<\/a> chat at the world premiere of Hulu\u2019s Ryan Murphy creation, Remar dished on all of the above.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"c-lazy-image__img lrv-u-background-color-grey-lightest lrv-u-width-100p lrv-u-display-block lrv-u-height-auto\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/wp-content\/themes\/vip\/pmc-hollywoodreporter-2021\/assets\/public\/lazyload-fallback.gif\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/179517_SB10705.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-lazy- data-lazy- height=\"2400\" width=\"3000\" decoding=\"async\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tRemar at the world premiere of Hulu\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/alls-fair-2\/\" id=\"auto-tag_alls-fair-2_1\" data-tag=\"alls-fair-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">All\u2019s Fair<\/a> at the DGA theater on Oct. 16.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDisney\/Ser Baffo<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<strong>It\u2019s nice to see you standing in one place considering all the work you\u2019ve been churning out.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tYeah. Gosh, I started Welcome to Derry as I finished Dexter: Resurrection. Then I went off to do Nolan\u2019s movie, The Odyssey, and then went up to Vancouver to do Jed Mercurio\u2019s Trinity. Now I\u2019m here, and everything is opening or debuting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<strong>What was it like to work with Christopher Nolan again after Oppenheimer?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIt was all that much better. The first time I auditioned for him was during COVID, and I had to test before we all met. Eventually, we got to meet without masks on the Universal lot, which is how he does it. He shoots film through a camera, not digital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<strong>And no cell phones on set.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tNo cell phones on set, and the man never sits down. He stands next to the camera for every single shot. He did that in Iceland too. We were on the beach shooting in Iceland; I never saw him sit down once for 12 hours out there. Every single day. It was freezing. Everybody was freezing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<strong>I know you won\u2019t spoil any secrets but what can you say about the experience of being on the inside of another one of his epics and working with all those A-list actors?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tWell, I worked opposite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/matt-damon\/\" id=\"auto-tag_matt-damon_1\" data-tag=\"matt-damon\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Matt Damon<\/a> again. We were opposite each other in Oppenheimer, so it was familiar. It was just like, \u201cHey, buddy, welcome back from summer vacation\u201d for a couple of the guys that felt like we went to school together. It was very collegial, very familiar, very much like a family. Everybody who was there offered everyone else a great deal of respect. It\u2019s a very respectful, well assembled cast. No silliness to speak of. Everyone was focused on the task at hand, because he comes with a vision and every brush stroke of his vision is important. There are no hijinks. No fooling around. Nobody\u2019s asleep. Nobody\u2019s drunk. Nobody\u2019s fucked up, pardon my language. Everyone was very, very concentrated on being the absolute best they could be. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<strong>What was All\u2019s Fair like?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tEverybody was lovely. My scenes are with Judith Light and Naomi Watts. I play Judith Light\u2019s estranged husband who\u2019s very, very wealthy. She\u2019s leaving him and trying to take as much as she can. You can see his heart break a little when she leaves. The relationship has all the trappings of money and embarrassment with newspaper coverage and all of that but what you\u2019re left with is this guy who is broken-hearted at the loss of his marriage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<strong>Is this your first Ryan Murphy show? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIt is. And he directed this one. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<strong>What was he like to work for?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHe\u2019s a guy that knows what he wants, but he\u2019s very, very calm in his demeanor. He\u2019s also very collaborative because he stepped right up to me and said \u201cthis, this and this.\u201d He offered me directions but also asked questions. \u201cWhat do you think of this?\u201d I love him for that. He\u2019s very soft spoken but he doesn\u2019t miss a trick.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<strong>It fans can\u2019t wait for Welcome to Derry. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tWhat I have seen is some of the best television I\u2019ve ever seen in my life.
