Avengers: Doomsday<\/a><\/strong> will introduce a gender-swapped villain into the MCU<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Marvel Studios<\/a>\u2019 Avengers: Doomsday is now in post-production. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, the movie will be released in United States theaters next year. The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars<\/a>, then follows in 2027.<\/p>\n

Which gender-swapped villain will reportedly be introduced in Avengers: Doomsday?<\/p>\n

Scooper Daniel Richtman<\/a> recently said that there will be multiple versions of Doctor Doom<\/a> in Avengers: Doomsday, including female variants. Now, insider John Rocha said on a recent episode of The Hot Mic<\/a> that he has also heard there will be multiple Dooms, at least two of which will be women.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis person says to me \u2014 and this person is pretty reliable \u2014 you can mention there are at least, and this is for Avengers: Doomsday, there are at least two female Doctor Dooms. One with a purple cloak and golden mask, the other with a gold cloak and a mask,\u201d Rocha said. \u201cThere are other Dooms, too, male ones.\u201d<\/p>\n

Official plot details for Avengers: Doomsday remain under wraps, meaning this should be treated as a rumor at this time. If this does prove to be true, however, it does raise questions regarding who else besides Robert Downey Jr.<\/a> will be playing Doom, as his name is the only one attached to the MCU character at this time.<\/p>\n
