As revealed in the show\u2019s midseason trailer unveiled at BravoCon on Friday, Karen Huger \u2014 the once and perhaps future star of \u201cThe Real Housewives of Potomac\u201d \u2014 has done a sitdown interview with Andy Cohen, the executive producer of \u201cThe Real Housewives\u201d franchise. The trailer played during the show\u2019s panel, \u201cPotomac Takes Vegas,\u201d which featured its Season 10 cast (without Huger, though she is at the fan convention this weekend). Cohen\u2019s interview with Huger will air during the season finale. When the BravoCon audience saw that Cohen will interview Huger, the crowd began whooping, and burst into sustained applause.<\/p>\n
Huger was released from prison on Sept. 2, after having served six months. She was arrested in March 2024 in Potomac, Maryland for driving under the influence and driving while impaired, among other charges. She\u2019d had three previous alcohol-related driving offenses in the past. During the entirety of Season 9 of \u201cThe Real Housewives of Potomac,\u201d she proclaimed her innocence, and maintained she would be exonerated. Huger was convicted on all charges at trial in December 2024, and entered a treatment facility. She did not attend the Season 9 reunion, which was taped after her conviction, and aired in February of this year, but did record a video message saying, \u201cNo, I\u2019m\u00a0not an alcoholic, let\u2019s be clear.\u201d Huger did say that it was perhaps time to give up her \u201cGrande Dame\u201d mantle, the nickname she\u2019s proudly worn for years, in order to just be \u201cKaren.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the end of the trailer, a voice calls out, \u201cKaren!\u201d and a soft-spoken, unseen Huger says, \u201cHello?\u201d Off camera, she then says, \u201cI\u2019m good, thank you.\u201d Then, Huger\u2019s husband, Ray, greets Cohen at the door, seeming exuberant, and after he sits down, Cohen says, \u201cHere we are \u2014\u00a0you are a free woman.\u201d Huger, looking cozy in a beige sweater, looks at him and says, \u201cIt\u2019s time to talk about my addiction.\u201d<\/p>\n Huger was sentenced to two years in prison with one year suspended and five years of probation on Feb. 26. She immediately was taken into custody, and her early release date was announced in August.<\/p>\n During the panel, cast member Gizelle Bryant \u2014\u00a0Huger\u2019s longtime friend and sparring partner \u2014 said she\u2019s been spending time with Huger, and she\u2019s been \u201cputting in the work.\u201d<\/p>\n She\u2019s not the only \u201cRHOP\u201d cast member dealing with legal issues. The trailer also showed that the show restarted, also for the finale, to shed light on the current plight of Wendy and Eddie Osefo, whose arrest on multiiple fraud charges in October<\/a> shocked the Bravosphere.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve gone through a lot in our lives together,\u201d Eddie Osefo says to Wendy. \u201cBut this takes the cake.\u201d She replies, \u201cHow do you think this is gonna affect our marriage?\u201d The two then embrace one another.<\/p>\n Wendy Osefo appeared on the BravoCon panel, and said she can\u2019t comment on the specifics of the allegations.<\/p>\n Best of Variety<\/strong><\/p>\n Sign up for Variety’s Newsletter<\/a>.
