Troy Parrott is the jewel of Ireland\u2019s national football team<\/a> after leading them to victory over Portugal and now Hungary.<\/p>\n

He has taken the country one step closer to the World Cup<\/a> next year.<\/p>\n

But when he\u2019s not playing on the pitch, he\u2019s spending time with his glamorous girlfriend<\/a> Lauren Bowry.<\/p>\n

Early life<\/p>\n

Troy is only 23 years old and was born on 4 February 2002.<\/p>\n

He is originally from Buckingham Street in Dublin and was raised with four siblings.<\/p>\n

His mother Jennifer opened up about what it was like watching her Troy score two goals against Portugal earlier this week.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m overwhelmed, I really am. My heart was in my mouth,\u201d she told Oliver Callan on his RTE Radio 1 show.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just kept on praying and praying. My first reaction is that he doesn\u2019t get injured – that\u2019s what I always pray for and then please god let everything else come after that like the goals.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just unbelievable. I was jumping for joy.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cI actually thought I was in a dream, it was just brilliant.\u201d<\/p>\n

Troy started his youth career with Belvedere, before signing his first professional contract with Tottenham on his 17th birthday back in 2019.<\/p>\n

During the following year, he signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract.<\/p>\n

Since 2020, Troy has been loaned out to different clubs, with him playing with Millwall for a full season.<\/p>\n

He then played for Ipswich Town, before joining Milton Keynes Dons in 2021.<\/p>\n

Tottenham announced in 2022 that Troy\u2019s contract had been extended to 2025 and that he would be loaned out to Preston North End. During the next year, he played with Excelsior Rotterdam.<\/p>\n

In July 2024, Troy signed with Eredivise club AZ Alkmaar and transferred from Tottenham Hotspur.<\/p>\n

When it comes to international football, he has represented the Republic of Ireland at under-17, under-19 and under-21 youth levels.<\/p>\n

He made his senior Republic of Ireland debut in November 2019.<\/p>\n

Relationship<\/p>\n

Troy keeps his relationship pretty private on his social media, but he does pose alongside Lauren and star in some of her TikTok videos.<\/p>\n

The couple haven\u2019t spoken about their romance, but according to their social media activity, they have been dating since April 2022.<\/p>\n

Lauren is often seen sitting in the stands cheering Troy on – whether he\u2019s playing for Ireland or his club AZ Alkmaar.<\/p>\n

She has a huge social media presence, with over 60k followers on Instagram and over 35k followers on TikTok.<\/p>\n
