The best and the brightest Australian music stars will be coming together for the ARIA awards this week.<\/p>\n

What are the ARIAs?<\/p>\n
It’s an Australian music awards ceremony \u2014 the one with the really pointy silver trophies.\u00a0<\/p>\n
ARIA stands for the Australian Recording Industry Association.<\/p>\n
But an aria is also a musical term, with the Macquaire Dictionary defining it as “an elaborate melody for a single voice, with accompaniment, in an opera, oratorio, etc \u2026”<\/p>\n
This year, the ceremony is being held at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Where can I watch the ARIA awards?<\/p>\n
The ceremony is being streamed live on Paramount+<\/strong> from 5pm AEDT.\u00a0<\/p>\n You’ll be able to watch the ceremony on free-to-air television on Channel 10<\/strong> later that night, with the red-carpet show starting at 7pm AEDT.\u00a0<\/p>\n As for the actual ceremony itself, the ARIA website just says it’ll come on “following Big Brother”<\/a> instead of giving a specific time.\u00a0<\/p>\n Who is nominated?<\/p>\n The artist with the most nominations is Ninajirachi, who is up for eight awards. \u00a0<\/p>\n
