Kyle Richards<\/a>\u00a0insists she\u2019s been very open about her personal life, contrary to \u201cwild\u201d claims.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/a>\u00a0cast member tackled the subject during the Housewife2Housewife Legacy & Newbies panel at\u00a0BravoCon 2025<\/a>, where she reflected on one of the \u201cbiggest misconceptions\u201d about her life on camera.<\/p>\n

Kyle Richards speaks out on “wild” misconception about her RHOBH journey<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, this is a new thing that I see, where people say, \u2018Kyle is not showing her life,\u2019\u201d she began. \u201cAnd I always think, \u2018This is so wild to me because I\u2019ve shown my life for 15 years\u2026 Everything.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Kyle, who has been a full-time diamond holder since RHOBH Season 1, said the show has captured many big moments involving her family and friendship groups \u2014 and not all of them have been pleasant.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople have seen, you know, a lot of great things that have happened with my family,\u201d she said before referring to her youngest daughter. \u201cPortia [Umansky]<\/a>\u00a0turning 2 years old and now\u00a0applying to college<\/a>, which is so crazy. But I\u2019ve had major fallouts with my family. Having blood on the show is a very different thing than falling out with people you\u2019re not as close with. It was really painful to go through that in the public eye.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve shown so much!\u201d she continued. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018Do I need to put a camera in the shower?! Or next to the toilet?!\u201d<\/p>\n

RHOBH ladies say Kyle Richards was not being open about her personal life\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kyle was accused of selective transparency during\u00a0the RHOBH Season 13 reunion<\/a>, which filmed after Kyle\u00a0announced her separation<\/a>\u00a0from her husband,\u00a0Mauricio Umansky<\/a>. Some of Kyle\u2019s castmates said they were shocked by the news, as they had no idea that Kyle and Mauricio were having serious problems. Kyle offered pushback, saying she had addressed the matter amid several reports about her marital issues.<\/p>\n

“What people were saying about my family … I shared that with all of you right out of the gate,\u201d she told fellow Housewife\u00a0Dorit Kemsley<\/a>, who insisted that wasn\u2019t the case.<\/p>\n

“No, she did say she’s had the hardest year in her marriage,\u201d\u00a0Crystal Kung Minkoff<\/a>\u00a0interjected. \u201cAnd I was surprised to hear that.”<\/p>\n

Dorit acknowledged that Kyle had mentioned a \u201chard year,\u201d but said the comments were relatively vague.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, I’m sorry you didn’t think it was enough information,” Kyle responded. “It just had started. I was just figuring it out myself. And what makes you so entitled to think that you are owed an explanation of everything that’s going on in my bedroom?”<\/p>\n

Kyle Richards defends herself: “Give me a break”<\/p>\n

Kyle went on to remind the cast that she had been on the show since its inaugural season and has shown the good, the bad, and the ugly.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI’ve watched my 2-year-old’s birthday party to that child is now going to be applying to colleges this year,\u201d she said. \u201cMy [children are]\u00a0learning how to drive a car<\/a>, going off to college, coming home from college, getting engaged, [there’s been] rumors about my marriage, I’ve had two siblings on this show, [and] my family has fallen apart. Don’t talk to me about not sharing what’s going on in my life … Give me a break.”<\/p>\n
