Claire Danes<\/strong><\/a>, who conceived her third child at age 44, admits to feeling \u201cterrified\u201d and ashamed by the \u201c\u2019oopsie-daisy\u201d pregnancy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was so old when that happened \u2014 I was 44,\u201d the My So-Called Life alum, 46, said during the SmartLess podcast<\/a> on Monday, November, 17. \u201cI didn\u2019t think it was possible \u2014 I really didn\u2019t. I was terrified, but all was OK.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Homeland star and her husband Hugh Dancy<\/strong> share sons Cyrus<\/strong>, 12, Rowan<\/strong>, 7, and a daughter, 2, whose name the couple has not shared publicly.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was actually really interesting because I did not foresee this at all. And it was weird, suddenly I felt like a funny shame,\u201d Danes explained on the podcast, hosted by Jason Bateman<\/strong>, Sean Hayes<\/strong> and Will Arnett<\/strong>. \u201cLike, I was naughty. Like, I had been caught fornicating past the point I was meant to.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, it was weird,\u201d she continued, \u201cand it was like I found an edge that I hadn\u2019t been quite conscious of, like I was going outside of the parameters a little bit and that was wild.\u201d<\/p>\n

Danes, who is starring in the new psychological thriller The Beast in Me on Netflix, said on the podcast that she got \u201creally, really lucky\u201d with her third child.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy OB\/GYN was like, \u2018You know, you\u2019re having another boy,\u2019 but no! Turns out \u2026\u201d Danes added, noting she would have been \u201cdelighted\u201d no matter the sex of the baby.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s pretty cool,\u201d Danes said of her youngest child. \u201cAnd she loves a tutu.\u201d<\/p>\n
