Ma, who had relinquished his control of the fintech company and resigned from all corporate roles at Alibaba, was seen accompanied by Ant Group chairman Eric Jing Xiandong<\/a> and CEO Cyril Han Xinyi<\/a> during his tour of the campus. Ant Group is an affiliate of Alibaba, owner of the South China Morning Post.Tuesday\u2019s visit marked almost a year since Ma, who is still regarded as the spiritual leader of the Alibaba business empire he created, gave a rare public speech at Ant Group\u2019s 20th anniversary<\/a> in December, when he touted that \u201cthe changes brought by artificial intelligence in the next 20 years will go beyond everyone\u2019s imagination, as AI will bring a greater era\u201d.<\/p>\n

The 61-year-old Chinese tech billionaire said at the time that Ant Group would continue to use technology to bring \u201cprogress and changes\u201d to people\u2019s lives in the next two decades.<\/p>\n
