<\/p>\n\n\tOne year before the film\u2019s 2026 release, Lionsgate has released a surprise teaser trailer and first look images (scroll down) for The Hunger Games: Sunrise On Reaping. <\/p>\n
\n\tIt\u2019s a good-looking first glimpse at the the latest installment in the hit franchise, which will be released on November 20, 2026. Pic features an all-star cast including Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Elle Fanning, Ralph Fiennes, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke, Jesse Plemons, Billy Porter, and Lili Taylor, alongside rising actors Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, Mckenna Grace, and Ben Wang, among others.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe film revisits the world of Panem and follows young Haymitch Abernathy (Joseph Zada) twenty-four years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the Fiftieth Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.<\/p>\n
\n\tFrancis Lawrence directs from a screenplay adaptation by Billy Ray. Color Force\u2019s Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson produce. Cameron MacConomy executive produces. <\/p>\n
\n\tThe five films in the franchise have taken in more than $3.3BN at the box office.Sunrise on the Reaping\u00a0sold 1.5 million copies in its first week on sale in the U.S., U.K., Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The 1.2 million copies sold in the U.S. are twice the first week sales of\u00a0The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes\u00a0and three times the first week sales of\u00a0Mockingjay.<\/p>\n
