Coach Shah, she\u2019s coming home. Jen Shah, the former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City<\/a> cast member, will be out of prison after serving about 2.5 years of her 6.5-year sentence<\/a>, per People<\/a>. The Federal Bureau of Prisons has approved a December 10 release. \u201cEveryone\u2019s very grateful for the BOP\u2019s decision, especially because it means Jen will be able to reunite with her family for the holidays,\u201d Shah\u2019s manager, Chris Giovanni, told People, confirming her release, on November 21. \u201cIt\u2019s a gift she doesn\u2019t take for granted.\u201d He added that \u201cshe\u2019s done a lot of reflecting and real growth during her time away, and is genuinely not the same woman as she was before.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shah pleaded guilty in July 2022 to conspiracy to commit wire fraud for a telemarketing scheme that targeted the elderly. The plea marked a change of tune for Shah, who had already spent the entire third season of RHOSLC denying the accusations, going as far as selling \u201cFree Jen Shah\u201d merch. \u201cFree Jen Shah, in its essence, means you\u2019re upholding the constitution,\u201d she claimed in a June 2, 2022, interview<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Shah\u2019s prison sentence has been consistently reduced throughout her time there, per People. First, in March 2023, it was cut by a year down to 5.5 years. Then, in October 2024, it was cut by another eight months. This January, her new release date was set for November 3, 2026, but by August it was reset for August 30, 2026. Now, it\u2019s down by another nine months. Shah\u2019s consistently reduced prison time was because of good behavior and participation in prison programs \u2014 Shah ran a workout class, Shah-mazing Abs,<\/a> reportedly attended by Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes.<\/p>\n

The obvious question that comes with Shah\u2019s release is whether or not she\u2019ll rejoin the cast of RHOSLC. \u201cJen Shah \u2014 I never want to see again,\u201d Bravo bigwig Andy Cohen said<\/a> during a behind-the-scenes Q&A at Watch What Happens Live on September 18, 2025. Bravo chairman Frances Berwick contrasted Shah with Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger, who went to prison this year for a DUI, in a November 19 interview with Variety<\/a>. Huger returned to RHOP because, Berwick said, she showed \u201caccountability.\u201d When asked if Shah\u2019s crimes were less forgivable, Berwick said, \u201cFor me personally, yeah. But you know, again, I have no idea on the level of accountability. But yes.\u201d Heather Gay, your other eye is (probably) safe<\/a>.<\/p>\n
