{"id":19328,"date":"2025-08-24T00:36:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-24T00:36:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/19328\/"},"modified":"2025-08-24T00:36:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-24T00:36:10","slug":"man-dies-in-workplace-accident-in-buncrana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/19328\/","title":{"rendered":"Man dies in workplace accident in Buncrana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man in his early 60s has died in a workplace accident in Buncrana.<\/p>\n<p>It is understood that the man passed away after sustaining fatal injuries from being struck by an icebox.<\/p>\n<p>The accident occurred at a haulage transportation company in Umricam on Thursday evening.\u00a0 Emergency services were called to the scene, and the employee was transferred to Letterkenny University Hospital (LUH) by ambulance. However, the man died from his injuries this morning.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has confirmed that a death occurred at a business premises in Buncrana.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe HSA is aware of the fatal incident and has launched an investigation.
