{"id":193672,"date":"2025-11-22T02:59:13","date_gmt":"2025-11-22T02:59:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/193672\/"},"modified":"2025-11-22T02:59:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-22T02:59:13","slug":"planned-power-outages-as-esb-invests-e200000-in-limerick-infrastructure-upgrades","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/193672\/","title":{"rendered":"Planned power outages as ESB invests \u20ac200,000 in Limerick infrastructure upgrades"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ESB NETWORKS is informing customers in West Limerick and\u00a0surrounding areas of planned electricity outages to facilitate important network upgrades.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With an investment of over \u20ac200,000, the upgrade programme includes the replacement of electricity poles to deliver a stronger, more resilient network.<\/p>\n<p>READ MORE:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/news\/property\/1947529\/action-demanded-on-11-long-derelict-houses-in-the-centre-of-limerick-village.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Action demanded on 11 long-derelict houses in the centre of Limerick village<\/a><\/p>\n<p>These works are scheduled to take place from 09:00 to 17:00 on November 26 and 27, across Abbeyfeale, Foynes and surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>The improvements will enhance protection against severe weather events and provide customers with a higher quality and more reliable electricity service.<\/p>\n<p>All affected customers will receive advance notification by post and SMS detailing the specific time and date of the outage in their area.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the scheduled works, Ed Hunt, Area Manager with ESB Networks, said:\u202f\u201cAs part of our Networks for Net Zero Strategy, we are making substantial investments in our nationwide infrastructure to offer our customers a network with greater capacity, enhanced resilience, and improved support for clean energy integration.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis will ensure a more resilient and improved network for our customers in Abbeyfeale, Ballygiltenon, Ballymurragh,Foynes Meenyline, Rathcahill, Robertstown, Stokesfield, Tullygoline, Tullyleague and the surrounding areas.
