Hilary Duff has often been heralded as the shining example<\/a> of a young star who made it to adulthood seemingly unscathed. Now, she is unpacking that notion on her sixth studio album Luck\u2026 or Something. Duff announced the album in an Instagram<\/a> post following a campaign of pink posters<\/a> that appeared in London, Paris, and Tokyo teasing the album title in a nod to the singer\u2019s 2005 Top 40 hit \u201cWake Up.\u201d Luck\u2026 or Something marks the multi-hyphenate\u2019s first album in more than 10 years<\/a> and arrives Feb. 20, 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am often asked how I still have my head on straight after growing up in this industry,\u201d Duff says in a statement. \u201cThe album title is my way of answering that question. It\u2019s luck, but there\u2019s also a lot of weight in the \u2018\u2026or something\u2019. Many of the things I\u2019ve been through along the way are held there, and I feel like ultimately that\u2019s what\u2019s shaped me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The album announcement comes just weeks after Duff\u2019s official return to music<\/a> with the single \u201cMature.\u201d<\/a> On the song, she takes a pop-rock jaunt through the past as she sings to a younger version of herself about past romantic excursions. Revisiting the earlier days seems to be a common thread for Luck\u2026 or Something. In a behind-the-scenes video<\/a> for the \u201cMature\u201d visuals, Duff explained the symbolic significance of the butterfly shot at the end of the video: \u201cThe butterfly is a nod to my first album Metamorphosis\u2026 changing and finding yourself\u2026 growth and rebirth, just the journey,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Luck\u2026 or Something and \u201cMature\u201d are Duff\u2019s first releases since 2015\u2019s Breathe In. Breathe Out., which was produced by her now-husband Matthew Koma. (Koma also co-wrote \u201cMature.\u201d) Earlier this year, the singer announced she had signed to Atlantic Records in a move that signified she would be making music once again. Now, the star is hitting the ground running.<\/p>\n

Last week, Duff announced her return to the stage with the Small Rooms, Big Nerves<\/a> tour. Starting in January, Duff will play small shows in London, Toronto, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles ahead of the release of Luck\u2026 or Something. But there seems to be more in store for Duff\u2019s live slate. After she immediately sold out<\/a> the Small Rooms, Big Nerves dates, the singer teased that \u201cthere\u2019s going to be so many more live opportunities and moments to come,\u201d in an Instagram video.<\/p>\n
