During a special livestream, the band\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/bts-will-return-in-march-hybe-source-claims-3870771\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">confirmed rumours that they were preparing to release new music<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, RM has given an update on the album and his experience adjusting to life after completing his military service, in a statement shared with fans on <a href=\"https:\/\/weverse.io\/bts\/profile\/a7c80e82107be5cb10b52d3575744c8a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Weverse<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s already been a little over two months since I was discharged from the military,\u201d he wrote, (taken from an English translation provided on Weverse). \u201cI\u2019m from faraway Los Angeles. I live, work, and play with the members. It\u2019s a really strange experience. It feels like \u2018Bon Voyage Pyeongchang.\u2019 It\u2019s weird already, right\u2026 Anyway, I feel like I\u2019m working diligently somewhere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The musician went on to give fans insight into his daily routine, saying he wakes up at 10am, works out, eats breakfast, and then works with BTS from about one or two in the afternoon to eight or nine at night. Afterwards, he said that he \u201csits alone on the terrace of the rented house, the past, present, and future, I think about these dizzy tenses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Further alluding to a new album from BTS, he wrote: \u201cMaking something \u2018together\u2019 with these friends, I\u2019m going to commit myself to this moment. I\u2019m going to thank you. It\u2019s our next album. I\u2019m looking for what I\u2019ll become. Something I\u2019ve forgotten for too long, the moments that are far away together. I hope that it will be a kind of beauty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And in a final word to fans, he said, \u201cI miss you. It\u2019s a long time\u2026 I guarantee you, I\u2019ll be there soon. I\u2019ll do my best until then. I love you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/jimin\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jimin<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/jungkook\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jungkook<\/a> were discharged from the South Korean military in June, shortly after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/bts-rm-and-v-discharged-from-south-korean-military-after-completing-mandatory-service-3868539\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">RM and V also completed their mandatory service<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3455276\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/bts-retrospective-anniversary-orul82.jpg\" alt=\"bts 10th anniversary retrospective\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1270\"  \/>BTS in 2013. Credit: HYBE<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/bts-reunite-to-celebrate-jins-discharge-from-military-service-3764803\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jin was discharged last summer<\/a>, with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/j-hope\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">J-Hope<\/a>\u00a0following suit in October. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/suga\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Suga<\/a> also completed his time serving as a social service agent in late June, an alternative to active duty, due to a past shoulder injury<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in July, the group said in a statement: \u201cWe\u2019ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year. Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member\u2019s thoughts and ideas. We\u2019re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re also planning a world tour alongside the new album,\u201d they added. \u201cWe\u2019ll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you\u2019re as excited as we are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>BTS went on hiatus in 2022, so that its members could also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/bts-announce-official-hiatus-to-focus-on-solo-projects-3247357\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cexplore some solo projects\u201d<\/a>, one of the most recent of which was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/reviews\/album\/jin-echo-review-bts-3862869\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jin releasing his second solo project, titled \u2018Echo\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Following his discharge, V hinted at a BTS, saying in an interview with Apple Music 1: \u201cI look forward to June when our members will have completed their service. We will quickly get together and talk about what BTS can do in the future. I think it\u2019s going to be a massive energy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Before then, he told\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/magazine.weverse.io\/article\/view\/1308?lang=en&amp;artist=BTS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Weverse Magazine<\/a>: \u201cWhen we\u2019re all back together as a group, it\u2019s going to have a huge impact, and everybody\u2019s going to be watching. I\u2019m excited to see what it\u2019ll feel like when we perform together again. I want to come back in style and say, \u2018This is us.
