I\u2019m optimistic about the performance of the Greek economy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Acknowledging continued pressure from the cost of living, Mitsotakis stressed that his administration has delivered on its commitments, with a new budget set to include relief measures aimed at tackling inflation.<\/p>\n<p>The prime minister underscored Greece\u2019s \u201cremarkable comeback,\u201d pointing to primary surpluses, an improved debt outlook, and growth rates consistently above the European average. \u201cWe have demonstrated that Greece can produce reliable governments and that the crisis is behind us,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Turning to developments in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tovima.com\/politics\/zelenskys-athens-visit-seals-seven-point-strategic-pact\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ukraine<\/a>, Mitsotakis emphasized that Europe must \u201cdraw lessons in order to make decisions,\u201d while clarifying that no official version of President Trump\u2019s reported peace plan has been shared with European leaders. \u201cWe have made it clear that no agreement can exist without Ukraine. Europe must support Ukraine financially, and each country must advance reforms so we can move in step,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Responding to a question about Donald Trump\u2019s perceived affinity for strongman leaders such as Turkey\u2019s President Erdogan, Mitsotakis highlighted the enduring strength of the U.S.\u2013Greece relationship. \u201cWe have shown we can work together effectively, particularly in the energy sector,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>On relations with Turkey, he reiterated Greece\u2019s commitment to seeking a constructive dialogue on maritime issues while strengthening national defense: \u201cOur deterrent posture is clear toward any country that could threaten our security.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Greece as a Bridge to Asia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mitsotakis also described his meeting with Singapore\u2019s prime minister as particularly productive, noting shared principles rooted in open markets and the rule of law. \u201cThere is significant room for cooperation between Asian and European nations.
