Tessa Thompson<\/a> brought the glamour as she joined supermodels and fashion designers at the Franca Fund Gala in Doha, Qatar<\/a> on Sunday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The actress, 42, caught the eye in a shimmering green dress which she teamed with white evening gloves and heels as she posed on the pink carpet with designer Pier Paolo Piccioli\u00a0at the Museum of Islamic Art.<\/p>\n

Gisele B\u00fcndchen, 45, put on a dazzling display in a sparkly black dress which showcased her model figure.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tyra Banks<\/a> also attended the fundraiser, which is being held to\u00a0held to honour the late editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia, Franca Sozzani\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n

The supermodel wowed in a black velvet gown with silver embellishment and matching evening gloves.\u00a0<\/p>\n

All proceeds from the event will support The Franca Fund, which has been a partner of Dr. Robert Green at Harvard, advancing research in preventive genomic medicine.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The charity was set up by Franca’s son Francesco Carrozzini after his mother’s cancer was too advanced to be successfully treated.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I was looking to do something with someone who understood my mother\u2019s values and what she did for the arts and for fashion,’ Francesco<\/a> told Vogue ahead of the event.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dedicated to making some of the most fascinating, boundary-pushing fashion spreads in Vogue history, Franca spent a record-breaking 28 years at the helm of the Italian fashion bible.<\/p>\n

Her illustrious career began with Vogue Bambini in 1976 after graduating in literature and philosophy at Universit\u00e0 Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She was appointed editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia in 1988, around the same time as Anna Wintour was appointed editor of US Vogue.<\/a><\/p>\n

The American editor paid tribute to their three-decade long friendship when Franca passed away in 2016, revealing that the two didn’t immediately become ‘BFFs’.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Franca and I found ourselves falling into a friendship that I am so happy and honoured to say sustained itself for 30 years’, she wrote at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘That\u2019s one thing that Franca taught me about friendship: Sometimes, you really have to earn it.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

It comes after Tessa stepped out hand-in-hand with her new boyfriend Brandon Green <\/a>as the couple packed on the PDA at the Grand Palais Party in Paris.<\/p>\n

The Creed actress couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she cosied up to the businessman, 31, on their arrival at the star-studded bash during Fashion Week earlier this month.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The star showcased her toned legs as she wrapped up in a silky black buttoned dress, which she teamed with matching knee-high boots.<\/p>\n

She completed the stylish ensemble with dark shades and a clutch bag, while the son of Sir Philip Green also opted for an all-black look.<\/p>\n

Tessa and Brandon – who previously dated Emma Watson – were first linked in March 2024 and have been spotted together countless times since.<\/p>\n
