{"id":198465,"date":"2025-11-25T00:23:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-25T00:23:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/198465\/"},"modified":"2025-11-25T00:23:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-25T00:23:08","slug":"seamus-coleman-off-early-as-everton-suffer-bizarre-red-card","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/198465\/","title":{"rendered":"Seamus Coleman off early as Everton suffer bizarre red card"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It has been a wonderful fortnight for Seamus Coleman but there was\u00a0 disappointment at Old Trafford tonight as the Everton veteran was substituted inside the opening 10 minutes against Manchester United.<\/p>\n<p>Coleman was handed his first start in more than two months by David Moyes, having impressed in Ireland&#8217;s World Cup wins over Portugal and Hungary.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">However he was withdrawn after nine minutes, presumably injured, though he had a difficult opening to the game, misplacing a couple of passes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Coleman looked particularly disappointed as he trudged off down the tunnel to be replaced by Ireland collegue Jake O&#8217;Brien.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">In Sky Sports commentary, Gary Neville concluded that Coleman was injured. &#8220;I&#8217;ve been there. Disappointment for Seamus Coleman.
