It would be very hard to contain something like that or align it to our values,” Suleyman said of ASI, citing the immense risks of controlling such technology. Suleyman also revealed his team is pursuing what he calls “humanist superintelligence” – advanced AI designed explicitly to support and prioritise human interests rather than operate as an independent superintelligent entity.Microsoft’s AI CEO also pushed back against speculation about AI consciousness. He warned researchers saying that simulation and genuine consciousness or granting AI systems moral status must be avoided.“These things don’t suffer. They don’t feel pain. They’re just simulating high-quality conversation,” he explained. Earlier this month, Suleyman went further, advising developers to abandon research exploring AI consciousness altogether. He argued that consciousness remains an exclusively biological trait and that pursuing it in artificial systems is fundamentally misguided.“I don’t think that is work that people should be doing. If you ask the wrong question, you end up with the wrong answer. I think it’s totally the wrong question,” Suleyman stated.

Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman has again issued a warning about the future of artificial intelligence (AI), saying…

[74
35135,111272,18,111271,19,17,305,34813,13301,14025,82
0":"post-201555","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-technology","8":"tag-ai-consciousness","9":"tag-artificial-superintelligence","10":"tag-eire","11":"tag-human-interests-in-ai","12":"tag-ie","13":"tag-ireland","14":"tag-microsoft","15":"tag-microsoft-ai","16":"tag-mustafa-suleyman","17":"tag-superintelligence","18":"tag-technology
["GET
