Prime Video and the BBC have announced that Season 2<\/strong> of the hit John le Carr\u00e9<\/strong>\u2013inspired thriller<\/a> will premiere on Sunday, January 11, 2026<\/strong>, marking the return of Tom Hiddleston\u2019s<\/strong> Jonathan Pine<\/a>. But for fans in the UK, it’s now been announced that they’ll be getting things a bit earlier. The series will debut with a three-episode premiere <\/strong>on BBC iPlayer<\/strong> and on BBC One<\/strong> on January 1<\/strong>, followed by weekly installments each Sunday through February 1<\/strong>, when the sixth and final episode arrives.<\/p>\n

What Is ‘The Night Manager’ Season 2 About?<\/p>\n

The first season, in 2016, followed former British intelligence officer Jonathan Pine<\/a> as he infiltrated the criminal empire of arms dealer Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie<\/strong>). But Season 2 picks up nearly a decade later, with Pine trying to live a quiet life under his new identity, Alex Goodwin, as a low-level MI6 surveillance officer in present-day London. That peace shatters when Pine spots a familiar mercenary from Roper\u2019s old circle \u2014 a sighting that drags him back into the underworld he once escaped. His forced return to the field leads to a brutal confrontation with Teddy Dos Santos <\/strong>(Diego Calva<\/a>), a Colombian businessman with ties to arms trafficking and guerrilla warfare.<\/p>\n

Pine\u2019s mission is a globetrotting one, which eventually takes him to South America and Colombia, where he partners with Roxana Bola\u00f1os (Camila Morrone<\/a>), a savvy business entrepreneur with her own motives. Surrounded by shifting alliances and deadly betrayals, Pine must decide who he can trust \u2014 and how far he\u2019s willing to go.<\/p>\n
