No dividend was paid in the year. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Turnover was largely static year on year, increasing by \u20ac1.43 million from \u20ac2.89 billion in 2023, to \u20ac2.9 billion in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The bulk of Google Commerce Ltd\u2019s revenue comes from transactions on the Google Play Store application platform across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Customers can purchase games, applications, books and audiobooks on the store, with Google also taking a cut of sales made by developers through the store.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image audio_image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/1754647931518-c07d65db-55b5-463e-ae51-976300c5837e.jpeg\"\/>If Irish households are so rich, why does it feel like an illusion?<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Digital content and application revenues \u201cin line with expectations\u201d, with the marginal increase in revenue linked to increased customer spend on applications and the addition of new apps to the store during the year, Google said in its accounts. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The Irish-based company also records the retail sales of Google\u2019s range of mobile phones, the Google Pixel range.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">A \u20ac103 million decrease in the company\u2019s costs of sales from \u20ac2,063 million to \u20ac1,960 million in 2024 was linked to lower inventory costs, but was outweighed by rising administrative expenses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">An increase in intercompany related expenses brought about a \u20ac107 million jump in administrative costs from \u20ac811 million to \u20ac918 million. Combined with the effects of interest rate movements, this led to decreased profits. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Google Commerce Ltd is a direct subsidiary of Google Europe, Middle East and Africa Unlimited Company \u2013 which is also established in Ireland \u2013 and is an indirect but wholly-owned subsidiary of US-based Google LLC.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Fellow group compan<a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/business\/2025\/11\/25\/google-ireland-pays-out-45bn-dividend-as-revenues-rise-12\/#:~:text=Lower%20costs%20contributed%20to%20pretax,billion%20dividend%20the%20previous%20year.\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/business\/2025\/11\/25\/google-ireland-pays-out-45bn-dividend-as-revenues-rise-12\/#:~:text=Lower%20costs%20contributed%20to%20pretax,billion%20dividend%20the%20previous%20year.\">y Google Ireland Ltd saw revenues grow 12 per cent<\/a> in 2024 and paid a \u20ac4.5 billion dividend to its parent company.
