{"id":207286,"date":"2025-11-30T00:37:15","date_gmt":"2025-11-30T00:37:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/207286\/"},"modified":"2025-11-30T00:37:15","modified_gmt":"2025-11-30T00:37:15","slug":"green-light-for-letterkenny-apartment-block-despite-objections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/207286\/","title":{"rendered":"Green light for Letterkenny apartment block, despite objections\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Main pic: An architect\u2019s impression of the proposed new apartment complex at Mountain Top, Letterkenny.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Planning permission has been granted for a four-storey block in Letterkenny containing 22 apartments.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Donegal County Council gave the go-ahead to Brian Brogan for the development at Carnamuggagh Lower (Mountain Top), adjacent to the George Boal Roundabout.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed complex will also include a communal roof terrace, lower level car parking and bicycle parking, and a toddlers play area.<\/p>\n<p>There were a number of objections to the application.<\/p>\n<p>The Ballaghderg\/Curraghleas Residents \u2018strongly\u2019 opposed the development, saying it was \u2018totally out of character\u2019 due to its height.
