Just when we thought that the Celtic manager situation had reached its endgame, it takes another twist. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Martin O\u2019Neill<\/a> expected today\u2019s match against Hibs to be the last of his interim spell, but in the hour before the match, he confirmed to Sky Sports that this was no longer the case.<\/p>\n

He is now expected to remain in the dugout for Wednesday\u2019s visit of Dundee, leaving the Wilfried Nancy<\/a> situation up in the air.<\/p>\n

Many have reacted well to O\u2019Neill\u2019s return, and understandably so \u2013 the team have rediscovered confidence with five wins in six.<\/p>\n

But such another change in plan has got some supporters worried.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Neill\u2019s return has been just what Celtic needed, and many see no issues with it continuing.<\/p>\n

But the ambiguity around the situation with Nancy \u2013 whether the hold-up is on his end or the club\u2019s makes for an interesting question.<\/p>\n

There has clearly been a mixed reaction to the update among Celtic<\/a> fans on X.<\/p>\n

@forever1888 is happy with the news, saying: \u201cI\u2019d rather give him rest of season\u2026 big gamble getting someone in just now\u2026 too much at stake.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another user agreed: \u201cSurely with us now on the cusp of December and things on the pitch both stabilised and galvanised, it would make complete sense for @CelticFC to delay a managerial change till after the Cup Final. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s certainly a compelling point \u2013 it would be pretty unprecedented for a cup final to be a Celtic manager\u2019s third game in charge.<\/p>\n

But not everyone is reacting positively to the news.<\/p>\n

More of a go at the board than O\u2019Neill, to be fair \u2013 you wouldn\u2019t rule out this being as a result of Celtic being difficult in negotiations.<\/p>\n
