However, it has now emerged that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor<\/a>\u2014as he\u2019s now known after being stripped of his prince and Duke of York titles by King Charles\u2014still has one prestigious royal title left, against his older brother\u2019s wishes.<\/p>\n Andrew still retains one final military honor amid the fallout of his latest scandal, according to British defense chiefs. The former Duke of York<\/a> is still the Vice Admiral of the Royal Navy, a military rank he was given by the late Queen Elizabeth in 2015 for his 55th birthday. The ex-prince\u2014who served in the Royal Navy for 22 years including as a pilot in the Falklands War and a commander for the vessel HMS Cottesmore\u2014was set to attain an admiral title in 2020 for his 60th birthday. However, the royal family decided against the upgrade amid his infamous 2019 Newsnight interview, where he first opened up about his relationship with Epstein.
