{"id":208938,"date":"2025-12-01T02:26:09","date_gmt":"2025-12-01T02:26:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/208938\/"},"modified":"2025-12-01T02:26:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-01T02:26:09","slug":"china-pmi-ratingdog-data-fed-rate-cut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/208938\/","title":{"rendered":"China PMI RatingDog data, Fed rate cut"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aerial view of vehicles being driven on the road through the central business district on October 5, 2020 in Beijing, China.<\/p>\n<p>Zhang Qiao | Visual China Group | Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Asia-Pacific markets opened December mostly in the red Monday as traders awaited fresh manufacturing data from China and rising expectations of a U.S. Federal Reserve rate cut this month.<\/p>\n<p>Traders are pricing in an 87.4% rate cut for the upcoming Fed meeting on Dec. 10, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmegroup.com\/markets\/interest-rates\/cme-fedwatch-tool.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">CME FedWatch Tool.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Investors in Asia will be looking to China&#8217;s November manufacturing purchasing managers&#8217; index from RatingDog, a private survey of mainly export-focused firms.<\/p>\n<p>The gauge follows official data <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/11\/30\/china-factory-activity-edges-up-in-november-but-remains-in-contraction.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">released Sunday<\/a> showing China&#8217;s factory activity improving slightly in November, but remained in contraction for the eighth consecutive month. Services weakened as the lift from earlier holidays faded.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s benchmark <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.N225\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nikkei 225<\/a> index fell 1.3%, and the Topix index retreated 0.72%. <\/p>\n<p>South Korea&#8217;s Kospi index was down 0.66%, while the small-cap Kosdaq advanced 1.29%.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s ASX\/S&amp;P 200 declined 0.23%.<\/p>\n<p>Futures for Hong Kong&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.HSI\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hang Seng Index<\/a> pointed to a higher open, trading at 26,022, against the index&#8217;s previous close of 25,858.89.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. equity futures were little changed in early Asian hours after a winning week. <\/p>\n<p>On Friday stateside, Wall Street came back from the Thanksgiving holiday for a shortened trading session. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.IXIC\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nasdaq Composite<\/a> advanced 0.65% to end the day at 23,365.69, scoring its fifth straight day of gains. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.SPX\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">S&amp;P 500<\/a>\u00a0gained 0.54% to settle at 6,849.09.
