Experienced midfielder Keith Buckley has signed for Dundalk after departing Bohemians, while Kerry FC’s Ronan Teehan has also moved to Oriel Park.<\/p>\n
The newly-promoted Lilywhites have been seeking to add Premier Division nous to their squad, with veteran Buckley the first top-flight player to sign up.<\/p>\n
Buckley said he can’t wait to get started.<\/p>\n
The 34-year-old stated: “I can\u2019t wait now to get started in a week or two. It\u2019s a fresh start and a new challenge for me. I\u2019m looking forward to it and really excited to get going.”<\/p>\n
Speaking about his exit from Dalymount, having made 379 appearances for the Gypsies in all competitions, he added: “Football is a game of opinions. I have to respect that. Managers have their own opinions, I have mine, that’s football. You can’t always be a favourite to every manager that comes in the door and that is the way it goes.<\/p>\n
“It will be a different challenge here. It’s a young squad so there’ll be a lot of learning for them. It’s a big step up but we’ll be ready.<\/p>\n
“I’m buzzing. I’ve been out a year or so really, not injury-wise but game time. I’m itching to get going and getting on the pitch to be competing.”<\/p>\n
Teehan, 21, came through the Kerry academy to become an established player under Colin Healy.<\/p>\n
He impressed manager Ciaran Kilduff during the 2025 season to earn a move to Louth.<\/p>\n
“It didn’t take much convincing.” said Teahan. “It\u2019s a huge club here, and there\u2019s a really good squad. It was really easy for me to make up my mind.”<\/p>\n
Defender Harvey Warren has already also joined from Bray Wanderers.<\/p>\n
