The actress revealed that her \u201cweird\u201d reaction during their very first date left the Saturday Night Live star convinced they weren\u2019t a match.<\/p>\n<p>Scarlett Johansson recalls first date with Colin Jost<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Scarlett Johansson says her romance with Colin Jost didn\u2019t start as smoothly as fans might imagine. Speaking on a recent episode of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DRulFvEiKXn\/?hl=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Today with Jenna &amp; Friends;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Today with Jenna &amp; Friends<\/a>, which she co-hosted, the actress admitted she had little dating experience and felt completely out of depth. \u201cMy first date with Colin, honestly, nobody ever really asked me out before,\u201d Johansson said. \u201cIt\u2019s true. I was a serial monogamist, and I just never got the traditional, \u2018Hey, would you like to have dinner sometime?\u2019\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The pair officially connected in 2017 when Jost asked her to dinner. Johansson recalled that their evening began pleasantly at an Italian restaurant in New York\u2019s East Village. \u201cIt was a lovely date,\u201d she said. \u201cWe had dinner at 8 p.m. or whatever, and then afterwards, he was like, \u2018I\u2019m meeting friends, let\u2019s go grab a drink.\u2019 And I hadn\u2019t dated basically ever, and so I was like, \u2018I have to go now. I need to leave\u2019,\u201d she further revealed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">That abrupt exit turned into an unintentionally awkward moment. Johansson headed home so early that even her babysitter questioned it. \u201cI got home to relieve my babysitter, and it was like 9:36, and she was like, \u2018Why are you home?!\u2019\u201d Johansson shared, adding, \u201cI was like, \u2018I went on this date, and it was.\u2026\u2019 I just felt so flustered.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Similarly, it got Jost confused as well. \u201cLater on, he was like, \u2018I totally thought that was it. You were acting so weird\u2019,\u201d Johansson said, admitting, \u201cI panicked. I don\u2019t know.\u201d Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost first met back in 2006 when Johansson hosted Saturday Night Live. However, their romantic relationship didn\u2019t begin until over a decade later.
