Hove Albion on Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/three-things-david-moyes-got-wrong-as-everton-fall-to-defeat-at-leeds-united\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">David Moyes suffered defeat against Leeds United<\/a> on the opening day of the season courtesy of Lukas Nmecha\u2019s late penalty.<\/p>\n<p>However, the atmosphere was electric inside the Hill Dickinson Stadium as the Blues started their first <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/english-premier-league\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Premier League<\/a> match in the new stadium, and the hosts delivered with a bang.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/iliman-ndiaye\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Iliman Ndiaye<\/a> etched his name into <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/everton\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Everton<\/a> history as he scored the first goal at the waterfront arena before <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/james-garner\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">James Garner<\/a> doubled the lead with a stunning strike in the second half.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/GettyImages-2231025643-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Everton v Brighton &amp; Hove Albion - Premier League\" \/>Photo by Ed Sykes\/Sportsphoto\/Allstar Via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Losing against newly promoted opposition in the first week was disappointing, but with three points under his belt, Moyes now knows three players who must start in the trip to Wolves.<\/p>\n<p>Jack Grealish thrives in his first Everton start<\/p>\n<p>While the goalscorers took all the plaudits at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, the most effective player on the pitch by a considerable margin was <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/jack-grealish\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jack Grealish<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/jack-grealish-sends-message-to-everton-fans-hes-already-very-excited-for-brighton-clash\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Grealish delivered on his message<\/a> to the supporters as he assisted both goals on the day and single-handedly raised the bar for his teammates.<\/p>\n<p>The 29-year-old arrives on Merseyside with a chip on his shoulder after finding himself frozen out of the first team set up at Manchester City \u2013 and what a way to respond on his debut for the Blues.<\/p>\n<p>Kiernan-Dewsbury Hall looks comfortable as the number 10<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/everton-fans-send-clear-kiernan-dewsbury-hall-message-to-david-moyes-after-his-debut-vs-leeds\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Everton supporters slammed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall<\/a> after a rather ineffective display last time out against Leeds, but he issued an emphatic response on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/kiernan-dewsbury-hall\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dewsbury-Hall<\/a> was influential playing in the number 10 role, handball aside, and was the main orchestrator in the middle of the pitch for the Blues.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"751\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/GettyImages-2231819604-1024x751.jpg\" alt=\"Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall of Everton battles for possession with Jack Hinshelwood of Brighton &amp;
