It was seen as a very positive appointment. He was O&#8217;Connor&#8217;s preferred choice to take up the coaching mantle.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">O\u2019Halloran was Cork minor hurling coach during John Considine\u2019s time in charge during the 2018 campaign.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/4883481_4_articleinlinemobile_2818955_1_.jpg\" alt=\"New Cork senior hurling boss Ben O'Connor. Picture: Brendan Moran\/Sportsfile<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Ballinhassig man has since enjoyed county success coaching the likes of Bandon, \u00c9ire \u00d3g, Fr O\u2019Neill&#8217;s and Lisgoold. He has also been involved with MTU Cork in recent years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">It\u2019s unclear at this point whether O\u2019Connor will replace O\u2019Halloran.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Ronan Curran, Terence McCarthy and William Biggane are part of the new set-up as the Rebels look to kick on in 2026 after two All-Ireland final defeats on the bounce.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Niall O\u2019Halloran has left the Cork senior hurling management after three months, The Echo understands.
