{"id":213242,"date":"2025-12-03T13:40:09","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T13:40:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/213242\/"},"modified":"2025-12-03T13:40:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T13:40:09","slug":"coach-niall-ohalloran-departs-ben-oconnors-cork-hurling-backroom-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/213242\/","title":{"rendered":"Coach Niall O&#8217;Halloran departs Ben O&#8217;Connor&#8217;s Cork hurling backroom team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Niall O\u2019Halloran has left the Cork senior hurling management after three months, The Echo reports.<\/p>\n<p>The Ballinhassig native was only confirmed as the coach as part of new manager Ben O\u2019Connor\u2019s management ticket <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishexaminer.com\/sport\/gaa\/arid-41698289.html\">back in September<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">O\u2019Halloran is widely regarded as a top-class coach. It was seen as a very positive appointment. He was O&#8217;Connor&#8217;s preferred choice to take up the coaching mantle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">O\u2019Halloran was Cork minor hurling coach during John Considine\u2019s time in charge during the 2018 campaign.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Ballinhassig man has since enjoyed county success coaching the likes of Bandon, \u00c9ire \u00d3g, Fr O\u2019Neill&#8217;s and Lisgoold. He has also been involved with MTU Cork in recent years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">It\u2019s unclear at this point whether O\u2019Connor will replace O\u2019Halloran.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Ronan Curran, Terence McCarthy and William Biggane are part of the new set-up as the Rebels look to bounce back in 2026 after two All-Ireland final defeats on the bounce.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Niall O\u2019Halloran has left the Cork senior hurling management after three months, The Echo reports.
