Samara Weaving is joined this time around by a killer cast including Kathryn Newton\u00a0<\/strong>(Abigail),\u00a0Sarah Michelle Gellar<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201cDexter: Original Sin\u201d),\u00a0Shawn Hatosy<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201cThe Pitt\u201d),\u00a0Elijah Wood<\/strong> (\u201cYellowjackets\u201d), and even horror master David Cronenberg<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Ready or Not 2\u00a0opens in theaters\u00a0April 10, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the official synopsis: \u201cMoments after surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace (Samara Weaving) discovers she\u2019s reached the next level of the nightmarish game \u2014 and this time with her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) at her side. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world. Four rival families are hunting her for the throne, and whoever wins rules it all.\u201d<\/p>\n

N\u00e9stor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, Varun Saranga<\/strong>, and Daniel Beirne<\/strong> also star.<\/p>\n

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Tyler Gillett\u00a0<\/strong>are back to direct for Searchlight Pictures with a script by original\u00a0Ready or Not\u00a0writers\u00a0Guy Busick<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0R. Christopher Murphy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The first film in 2019 followed a young bride (Weaving) as she joined her new husband\u2019s rich, eccentric family in a time-honored tradition that turned into a lethal fight for survival.<\/p>\n

Samara Weaving\u00a0teases<\/a>\u00a0that the sequel is \u201cso unhinged, absolutely cooked. Those sicko writers came up with a way in that\u2019s somehow both a natural progression and very surprising.\u201d<\/p>\n
