Gwyneth Paltrow\u2019s two children<\/a> had wildly different reactions to her viral makeout with \u201cMarty Supreme\u201d co-star Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/a> last week.<\/p>\n

While the actress\u2019 \u201ccool\u201d 21-year-old daughter, Apple, was \u201cso punk rock\u201d and called the PDA pics \u201cawesome,\u201d Paltrow\u2019s son, Moses, said he did \u201cnot want to see.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old was \u201ckind of mortified,\u201d Paltrow told the Hollywood Reporter<\/a> in an interview published Wednesday.<\/p>\n

When the co-stars locked lips in November 2024, Apple told her mom the viral moment was \u201cawesome.\u201d GC Images<\/p>\n

\u201cI do think they\u2019re actually excited to see this film,\u201d the Oscar winner said of the movie, out Christmas Day. <\/p>\n

\u201cNow they\u2019re grown up and they can make this separation,\u201d she explained. \u201cI\u2019m sure they\u2019ll gag when I\u2019m having a makeout scene, of course. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s funny, they haven\u2019t really seen me in movies,\u201d Paltrow, who co-parents Apple and Moses with ex-husband Chris Martin, continued. \u201cHistorically, they like me home, as Mom, and they don\u2019t like to engage with the outside perspective of who I am.\u201d<\/p>\n

She noted that her \u201cLA mom close friends and \u2026 English mummy friends\u201d were \u201cthrilled\u201d when she was photographed locking lips with Chalamet, 29, while filming a scene in November 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were all texting me<\/a>,\u201d Paltrow recalled. \u201cThey know I don\u2019t look at any rubbish sites, so they\u2019re all sending me these pictures, like, \u2018Yessss, G.P.!’\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cShakespeare in Love\u201d star said the same on \u201cThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon\u201d last year, calling the responses \u201cpretty funny.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Paltrow said the siblings are \u201cactually excited to see the film.\u201d gwynethpaltrow\/Instagram<\/p>\n

She told viewers, \u201cThat was bad. It\u2019s just like, you\u2019re trying to have this scene and you know it\u2019s a private moment, and then there are paparazzi.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Paltrow gushed about the \u201cfreedom around [the] exploration\u201d of sexuality, saying it \u201cresonates in film.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Golden Globe winner, who joked that she is now \u201cless inclined to get naked\u201d onscreen than in her younger years, said, \u201cOur sexuality is such an important part of who we are.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNow they\u2019re grown up and they can make this separation,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cPeople underestimate women as the consumer. We drive markets \u2014 we create markets, so of course a 40-something woman is going to be excited about an intimate scene with Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd of course women are going to be excited about this idea that there\u2019s agency around sexuality and that older women are sexual,\u201d Paltrow continued. \u201cSo I think it\u2019s great, I\u2019m all for it.\u201d<\/p>\n

She \u201cascribes to [the same] philosophy\u201d as Nicole Kidman, who Paltrow praised for having a \u201cf\u2013k it\u201d attitude and feeling \u201ccompletely free as an artist<\/a> to explore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paltrow\u2019s pals, meanwhile, were \u201cthrilled\u201d over the scene. Instagram\/goop<\/p>\n

Paltrow, notably, spoke candidly about her sex life<\/a> during a May 2023 \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast episode \u2014 and her eldest child was unbothered by that as well.<\/p>\n

The Vanderbilt University student was on set during the episode\u2019s recording and filmed a playful TikTok covering her ears<\/a>.<\/p>\n
