A man lost his life in a single car accident in Cork City yesterday – adding another tragedy to the serious toll<\/a> on our roads across 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gardai<\/a> are this morning appealing for witnesses following a fatal single vehicle road traffic incident that occurred at the busy Sarsfield Roundabout, Wilton, Cork City, yesterday, Wednesday 3rd December.<\/p>\n

The incident, involving a car, occurred at approximately 1.50pm.<\/p>\n

The driver, a man aged in his 50\u2019s, was conveyed to Cork University Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.<\/p>\n

The scene was preserved for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Gardai say the road has since reopened.<\/p>\n

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 1:00pm and 2:00pm on Wednesday 3rd December 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n
