{"id":214785,"date":"2025-12-04T09:46:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T09:46:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/214785\/"},"modified":"2025-12-04T09:46:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-04T09:46:08","slug":"man-dies-following-single-car-collision-in-cork-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/214785\/","title":{"rendered":"Man dies following single car collision in Cork city"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\">Garda\u00ed are appealing for witnesses following a fatal single vehicle road traffic incident in Cork city.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The incident occurred at the Sarsfield Roundabout, Wilton, Cork city, yesterday, Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The incident, involving a car, occurred at approximately 1.50pm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The driver, a man aged in his 50\u2019s, was taken to Cork University Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The scene was preserved for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The road has since reopened.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 1pm and 2pm on Wednesday December 3 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Anyone with information is asked to contact Togher Garda Station on (021) 4947120, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Garda\u00ed are appealing for witnesses following a fatal single vehicle road traffic incident in Cork city.
