\n\tMiley Cyrus<\/a> had a lot to catch Billboard up on during her latest interview, from working with Beyonc\u00e9<\/a> and Britney Spears<\/a> to why she\u2019s done touring for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n

\n\tSitting down with Billboard News\u2019 Tetris Kelly at a recent press junket for Avatar: Fire and Ash \u2014 for which the singer-actress penned the original song \u201cDream as One\u201d \u2014 Cyrus first opened up about her much-publicized decision to stop hitting the road in support of her albums. She\u2019s previously shared<\/a> that keeping her performances more low-key is better for her mental health and sobriety, and she hasn\u2019t embarked on a proper trek since 2014\u2019s Bangerz Tour.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMy favorite thing to do is to perform in the lobbies of hotels, because then I just go up to my room [afterward],\u201d Cyrus explained to Billboard. \u201cThe backstage of a venue is nothing like what the audience experiences. There\u2019s a locker room. I\u2019m not getting ready in a locker room.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI have to have a heart-on-fire feeling for anything I do, and I don\u2019t love [when] it\u2019s such a large scale [with] so many thousands of people,\u201d she continued. \u201cYou lose that one-on-one, intimate connection.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThese past few years, Cyrus has opted instead to play intimate shows at small venues, with standout examples including her May performance at the Chateau Marmont<\/a> in Los Angeles and her Spotify Billions Club concert<\/a> in Paris.<\/p>\n

\n\tOne notable exception? The time she jumped onstage with Beyonc\u00e9 at a Cowboy Carter Tour stop to sing their \u201cII Most Wanted\u201d duet together.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIf it ain\u2019t gonna be in the hotel lobby, it needs to be in Paris with Bey,\u201d joked Cyrus of her surprise appearance with Queen Bey at Stade de France in 2024. \u201cThat was everything \u2026 She\u2019s so fab, she\u2019s everything you want her to be in person. She\u2019s the true meaning of a professional, kind to everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile Cyrus says she doesn\u2019t have the touring bug, Beyonc\u00e9 definitely does. \u201cWhat I realized was, when we talk about the heart-on-fire feeling, she has that for touring,\u201d the Hannah Montana alum said. \u201cNever did I see her not having joy on her face of putting the show together. It actually gives me chills.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe interview comes at an exciting time for Cyrus. In addition to her partnership with the Avatar franchise, the vocalist just got engaged to longtime boyfriend Maxx Morando, something she also spoke about with Billboard.<\/p>\n

\n\tElsewhere in the interview, she touched on the upcoming 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana and shared her favorite collaboration she\u2019s ever released with another artist. \u201cHonestly, I am going to say Beyonc\u00e9,\u201d she said. \u201cBecause I just feel like I could have gone home after that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen Kelly brought up Cyrus\u2019 \u201cSMS (Bangerz)\u201d collab with Britney Spears, Cyrus said, \u201cListen, if we\u2019re torn between Britney and Beyonc\u00e9, we\u2019re doing pretty good.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlso of Spears, Cyrus noted that she \u201ccouldn\u2019t even imagine\u201d shouting out a different artist in the lyrics to her 2009 smash \u201cParty in the U.S.A.\u201d when Kelly challenged her to choose two modern musicians for a theoretical 2025 revamp of the song. \u201cI\u2019m not taking Britney out.\u201d<\/p>\n
