\n\tSam Mendes<\/a> and Sony\u2019s upcoming four-part series of biopics about The Beatles has expanded its cast, this time adding figures in the Fab Four\u2019s inner circle such as family members, roadies and press officers. <\/p>\n

\n\tJoining \u201cThe Beatles \u2014 A Four-Film Cinematic Event<\/a>\u201d is David Morrissey<\/a> (\u201cThe Walking Dead\u201d) as Paul McCartney\u2019s father Jim McCartney, Leanne Best (\u201cWalk-In\u201d) as John Lennon\u2019s Aunt Mimi, Bobby Schofield (\u201cThe Covenant\u201d) as road manager and trusted confidant Neil Aspinall, Daniel Hoffman-Gill (\u201cSherwood\u201d) as roadie Mal Evans, Arthur Darvill (\u201cBroadchurch\u201d) as press officer and friend Derek Taylor and Adam Pally (\u201cHappy Endings\u201d) as controversial music manager Allen Klein. <\/p>\n

\n\tMeanwhile, as first reported by Variety, Harry Lloyd (\u201cThe Theory of Everything\u201d) has been confirmed<\/a> as playing The Beatles\u2019 long-time music producer George Martin, while the previously reported addition of James Norton as their\u2019 influential manager Brian Epstein has also been confirmed.<\/p>\n

\n\tCasting of other central characters including Cynthia Lennon and Ravi Shankar will be announced in due course.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe additional names join lead stars Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harrison Dickinson as John Lennon, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, plus Saoirse Ronan, Anna Sawai, Aimee Lou Wood and Mia McKenna-Bruce, who are playing Linda McCartney, Yoko Ono, Pattie Boyd and Maureen Starkey, respectively. <\/p>\n

\n\tFrom Sony and Mendes\u2019 Neal Street Productions banner, the four films \u2014\u00a0now in production \u2014\u00a0will tell the story of The Beatles from each band member\u2019s distinct point of view. Jez Butterworth, Peter Straughan and Jack Thorne wrote the scripts, with Mendes directing all four films and producing alongside his Neal Street partner Pippa Harris and Julie Pastor. Alexandra Derbyshire is also producing.<\/p>\n
