Mina El Houari was certain she’d found her soulmate when she began an online romance with a man.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 25 year old from Cadenet in southeast France was so sure she’d found her Mr Right that she booked a flight to meet him in person after weeks of online chats.<\/p>\n

However, her pursuit of love would tragically end in a horrifying ordeal<\/a>, and she would never return from the ill-fated trip <\/a>to meet the man she believed she could share a future with.<\/p>\n

Mina was thrilled to book her ticket from France to Morocco, going all out for her journey to Fez, the North African nation’s third largest city. According to News.com.au, she checked into a five-star hotel before meeting the still unidentified man for their date.<\/p>\n

But in a chilling turn of events, Mina’s last moments were spent in a shallow grave in a country thousands of miles away from home. Her demise was slow and likely excruciatingly painful, reports the Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Choosing to meet her date at his house, Mina and the man started chatting. The conversation was reportedly going well, as he later told police.<\/p>\n

However, the evening took a tragic turn when Mina suddenly collapsed. In a state of panic, the man claimed he thought she had died instantly.<\/p>\n

Believing he needed to hide evidence and dispose of her body, he decided the best course of action was to bury Mina in his back garden.<\/p>\n

However, unbeknownst to him, she was not actually dead. Overwhelmed by stress, he confessed that he didn’t check if she was still breathing.<\/p>\n

It was later revealed by coroners that Mina was an undiagnosed diabetic and had slipped into a coma when she was buried in the shallow grave. Tragically, it was determined that Mina suffocated to death in the makeshift grave in the Fez back garden.<\/p>\n

The man kept quiet about the horrific incident. But when Mina’s family didn’t hear from her, they became concerned and contacted Moroccan law enforcement.<\/p>\n

Unable to reach her, they travelled to Fez in search of their beloved daughter. Police liaised with Mina’s family and identified the man as a person of interest in the 25 year old’s disappearance.<\/p>\n

Officers searched the man’s home and found evidence of his grave-digging activities. They discovered muddy trousers and a shovel, which led them to Mina’s tragic final resting place.<\/p>\n
